| What other systems did you consider? | We already have Moviemagic Screenwriter, final Draft and Dramatica as well as the usual MS bits and bobs. |
| Why did you choose it? | It does so much, solves so many problems and releases me to work anywhere and anytime with colleagues. It is also cross platform for Mac and PC as well as Linux. |
| Did you buy new or used - if new did you consider used / visa versa? | It's an open source project you can just download from www.celtx.com |

| What major projects have you used it (or plan to use it) for? | I am transferring a number of projects to the software. |
| Does it perform as expected? | It has more than I thought in it. This is just the first release too. |
| Pro's: | Acts as a central place to make and manage a project. Allows you to back up your projects to a server. Works cross platform with Mac, PC and Linux. Allows collaboration through the server. |
| Con's: | Had to think really, really very hard. Doesn't do budgeting - yet. Has no user customisation of forms that I could find. |
| What would your brief summary be on this product? | Celtx is an extraordinarily useful bit of software that seems to have most of what I want to do covered. It runs natively on all the computers I own and allows me to work with others. The learning curve is so short it's a straight line (remember your calculus) |
| About you, please tell us about you, your background, your company and any credits you or your company may have: | i-catching movies is a fairly recent addition to the firmament of production companies. We comprise a journalist, a cameraman and two editors all of whom work in broadcast TV. We produce material for broadcast, corporate and web. |

LEADER / LT4400 AVAILABLE FROM THAMESIDE T.V THE NEW MULTI-FORMAT GENERATOR PRODUCED BY L EADER The LT4400 Multi-Format Generator is ideal for non-linear editing systems and applications wheremulti-format sync signals are needed. The instrument can provide PAL black, NTSC black and HDTV tri-level sync simultaneously out of 3 pairs of independently timed black outputs. In addition to the 6 black outputs, the LT4400 provides both SD and HD-SDI test signals. Blackoutputs are independently controlled (3 pairs) and can be set to black-burst (PAL or NTSC) as well as tri-level sync (HDTV). Genlock facilities are available along with a number of genlock recovery options to suit your specific system requirement. Test patterns include color bars and check field and are moveable. A 16-character source identifier can be added to the test outputs and the instrument allows for the addition of a logo bug. Sixteen channels of embedded audio are available along with settable tones and audio click. The LT4400 can be used on the bench or in a rackmount configuration (1 RU high; half-rack wide).
