Adobe and Avid products.

Why did you choose it?:

In the tests I conducted it was probably the most dependable, easy to learn and almost comes with an incredible toolchest.

Did you buy new or used - if new did you consider used / visa versa? :

I bought new. No Bit Torrent downloads - my conscience is clear.

What price did you pay?:

A lot less than in the UK. My archeological accounting system has no tuly lost the receipt so I cannot be specific.

Were you happy with the sales service?:

Yes. It arrived with Teutonic expedition.

What major projects have you used it (or plan to use it) for?:

I have done TV, Corporate and web projects as well as a couple of, er, weddings!

Does it perform as expected?:

|
Yes. And I expected a lot from it having heard Walter Murch talk about it.

Pro's:
|
|
Easy to learn, comprehensive tools, integration with XDCAM etc (also Redcode). Runs on a laptop, robust code, good user groups. It also representsfabulously good value for money.

Con's:

Is slow at rendering when compared with Adrenaline etc. I have not tried two machines helping each other out yet. Mac only (not that I'd choose a PC now anyway. I just like Avid's idea of running on any platform and use a dongle to make it go).

FCS 2 offers a comprehensive solution for post-production at a surprisingly low price.
