Media information and circulation statistics

  Web site:
The tv-bay.com website is currently receiving approximately 3,000 unique IP addresses per day. This is to say that there are approx 3,000 pairs of eyes on the site every day - looking at equipment. They may be repeat visitors, but not that working day.

The side banners (skyscrapers, available in 3 sizes) produce on average 450 clicks per month. (Daily banner rotation available that improves clicks by around 30%)

The top visiting countries are US, UK, France, Germany - the 'top three' sharing almost identical figures.

At any one time (normally checked in the afternoon) we have between 25 & 30 visitors online.

It must be noted that these figures are impressive for any industry specific website. We are not visited by general web surfers, and there are not many ways to find us unless you are looking for broadcast equipment. We have a genuinely high quality user base, and we do not have any significant competition. There are directories, bulletin boards and forums but they are not designed for the sole purpose of being the central resource for equipment purchase online.

A brand new website is due out any day now! While many aspects will remain the same, you will see a great improvement in the usability, functionality and content.

Magazine:
tv-bay magazine is an A4, 100 page (116 pages being our largest yet) publication full of stories, tips & tricks, information and articles on the broadcast and professional video industry. Our goal is to encourage creativity and efficient use of today’s technologies and creative services. It also serves as a handbook / reference guide for kit values and resources in the new & used equipment market.  For this reason it also has a long shelf life which means that advertisers' spend goes further.
Currently we are distributing monthly to 6,000 named individuals. Made up from approximately 3,000 requested free subscriptions, an increasing number of paying subscribers (since stopping the free subscription) and we make the numbers up from the people scanned at various trade shows and events. Often we add other random channels to increase the readership which can vary from Colleges and universities to roadshows and parties.

From Issue 021 the magazine was published as a 3D Issue online to increase international readership. So far this has generated up to 1,400 extra readers each issue.

Our statistics are constantly changing.  So far we have only improved!  We are the only Broadcast publication to show a growth in the last few years that we can find.  A growth of 400% (from 20 pages to 104 within 18 months) and from being a simple listings magazine to providing stories on productions and equipment from a perspective never offered before.  More pages are being added all the time.

If you have a question about our circulation that has not been answered please ask and we will provide the information.
