The CDH 1811 yellobrik is ideal for converting any SDI video signal (up to 3Gbit/s 1080p60) into a standard HDMI signal for monitoring and display. It allows you to easily connect HDMI displays to SDI equipment.
 
This new yellobrik auto-detects inputs and formats supporting SDI video up to 3Gbit/s, includes balanced or unbalanced line level stereo analog audio outputs, as well AES outputs which can pass through DolbyE.   Two channels of audio from the incoming video signal can be de-embedded and output as digital AES or analog audio, or embedded into the HDMI output.

Compact SDI to 1394 Video Field Converter Launched

EDIROL have announced the VC-50HD - an innovative portable bidirectional SDI to 1394 video field converter.

The VC-50HD provides bi-directional conversion between SD/HD-SDI to/from DV, HDV as well as 35Mbps and 50Mbps MPEG-2 transport stream (TS). The unit also supports lower bit rates including 8Mbps as well as 2, 9 and 12Mbps when using with SD sources ideal for DVD, web or fixed-point observation applications.

The VC-50HD can be used standalone between video decks and PC/Macs or mounted on the back of the EDIROL F-1 Video Field Recorder for file-based capture from SDI cameras.

The VC-50HD offers flexible monitoring of the signal in the field using the HDMI output connected to an affordable display. Resolution types, MPEG-2 bit-rates, direction and SDI audio channel selection can be controlled with remote software via USB or dipswitches conveniently located on side of the unit.

Unprecedented Level Of Clarity At The Payne County Courthouse

Designing sound systems for courtroom applications presents a host of challenges: acoustical, electrical and application-specific requirements make courtroom systems the most mission critical audio installations in the marketplace. After four subpar audio installations at the Payne County Courthouse in Oklahoma, Judge Worthington and the courthouse administration approached Aspen Custom Electronics with a special request to upgrade the courthouse audio system for good. Using an arsenal of AKG equipment which includes the WMS450 Wireless body pack, a DMM 4/2/2 Audio Mixer and two GN30 Goosenecks, Aspen Custom Electronics was able to do what four companies before it could not: install a clear and powerful audio system that exceeds everyone’s expectations.
 
According to Matt Hall, project manager for Aspen Custom Electronics, the courthouse’s audio system required so many revisions because of its many acoustical anomalies. Built in 1917, it was designed to provide optimal voice projection without the use of a PA system, so even the smallest sounds reverberate throughout the room, and a good portion of the front is covered in marble.  What’s more, the witness is able to turn up to 180 degrees while on the stand, looking from judge to jury, and many of the times their voice is very low and withdrawn.

LG BRINGS THE COMPLETE 3D PACKAGE TO THE UK

LG Electronics (LG) today unveils plans to launch its full 3D portfolio from May to meet increasing interest in 3D across the nation. LG have been the first in the UK to introduce its passive 3D technology LCD TV (LD920) which is being rolled out in pubs across the UK and Ireland. Viewers will be able to watch live football including Premier League matches broadcast by Sky in 3D, prior to the introduction of Sky 3D to millions of homes later this year. Available in both 47in and 55in, the televisions use active 3D technology meaning all the components, that allow the picture to become 3D are housed within the glasses worn by the viewer.

TAMUZ is proud to announce it’s most recent ground breaking development. The world’s  first OLED powered quadruple rack monitor to display SD, HD and graphic signals.
Our new monitor, OCM 404 W HD is mechanically a very compact device equipped with four 4.3 " (11 cm) wide screen OLED displays. With dimensions of only two rack units and a depth of approximately 2“ (48 mm) this monitor was constructed for the first time to house the OLED's within a monitor bridge.
This self-light-emitting displays have quite a number of advantages compared to  common LCD technology, however they are still accompanied by higher costs.

				Wohler Technologies Inc. have announced further enhancements to its AMP1-16-3G and AMP2-16 Series 16-channel audio monitors with new features and menu options that bring even greater convenience and functionality to multichannel monitoring. Improved access to audio levels and settings, newly added live mixing capabilities for the AMP2-16 Series, and more powerful monitoring and control functions at their fingertips now give operators the flexibility to adapt in real-time to the monitoring demands of complex broadcast operations. 


	 



	With available redundant power supplies and new Free Mix mode, the AMP2-16 Series is now fully transmission-chain ready and thus reduces the dependence on traditional audio mixing consoles. When equipped with AES or analog output cards, the AMP2-16 Series Free Mix mode supports mixing and outputting of any combination of channels. Through an intuitive configuration menu, users can easily control levels, mix multiple input channels to multiple output channels, and set front-panel control options. These mixes can be performed independently of the audio monitoring function, while the AMP2-16 Series audio monitoring and level metering functions can be used to monitor the result of the mix.
