We have available 4x tektronix PDR324D hard disk recorders / players. PDR300) made by tektornix but also same as teh grass valley who took over this product a bit later.
Exact model is PDR324D
Due to being mjpeg and mpeg2 formats being used (upto user what format they use).
Can be setup with 4 SDI input / output recording / playback channels channels using mjpeg format (total of 8 BNC connectors). Each channel is like a VTR, can record or play. (2nd and 3rd and 4th channel can playback what is being recorded live in 1 channel if you want though for replay, slo mo etc.. or you can record all 4 channel at same time. What we done was used 2 channels for record and 2 channels for replay and slo mo playback from the recorded channels for live recording
. (approx 25 hours built in record time with internal hard drives). IF you use all mpeg 2 mode, you have 50 hours record time and have 2x record channels and 4x play channels in mpeg2. If you use mixture of mpeg2 and mjpeg. you can have 3 record, genlock in, timecode, rs422 ports, 32channel embedded audio in (in video signal) or XLR AES in and 32 channel aes out, 32 channal analog audio in, XLR 32 channel analog audio out also if you wan t(all audio is recored uncompressed in digitla format). external scsi disk connectors for external storage option, fibre optic card for handling video files over networks etc.
System has 4 standard recording channels and 4 playing channels in normal mjpeg mode (25 hours record time) , as an alternative, it has 2x mpeg-2 recording channels and 4 play out channels for mpeg-2 letting you use 6 channels all at the same time if you want . As this system has mjpeg and mpeg2, you can use the built in converters to convert movie filmes from mjepg to mpeg2 or mpeg2 to mjpeg.
each video channel can take timecode and 4 channels of audio also
System can be used with super slo mo cameras, in OB for editing / replays like EVS etc and use external EVS type remote panels with T bars for slo mo even or use built in controllers in the system
Slo mo speed ranges from 0.05x to 16x or you can do clip editing with the software etc also etc etc. System can also be networked toegether with other ones or setup and run with automation software for recoridng, playing and sending or files etc (eg in studio playout centre)
We do have some 4 channel tektronix slo motion / editing edit controllers and also some other makes. (or you can use teh built in remotes).
you can use system for scheduled playout for TV channels if you want .
