Prism Sound Appoints MixRommet To Handle Test and Measurement Range In Sweden |

Prism Sounds range of test and measurement equipment is now being represented in Sweden by MixRommet, a subsidiary of Oslo-based distributor LydRommet, which already handles Prism Sounds range in Norway. Established in 2007, Stockholm-based MixRommet shares service, support and administration facilities with LydRommet. The company is headed by Gunnar Silins, who spent more than 20 years as a sound engineer, maintenance engineer and recording studio manager before moving into pro audio sales. Since 1988 Silins has worked for several distribution companies in Sweden, selling and supporting a number of key equipment brands including Neutrik Test Instruments, which he represented for nearly five years. |

British cameraman Mark Moreve shot the entire 90-minute feature film ‘Love Loss’ with the compact Canon EOS 5D Mk II DSLR camera and the fluid head Video 18 SB from Sachtler, a brand of the Vitec Group.
“Even when using a small camera, reliable and robust equipment is essential,” Mark Moreve states. “I knew straight away that I needed good camera support equipment for this shoot. The camera is very lightweight and I often have to use longer lenses such as a 400mm, so I needed a stable Sachtler tripod to prevent any jittering during the shoot. Even if you use a lighter lens and a camera not as heavy, you have to make sure that the camera can be panned and tilted without a problem in order to achieve smooth panning shots,” says Mark Moreve who has been working as a freelance cameraman for 14 years with many broadcast and corporate credits to his name. IDX Technology is now shipping the A-E241E, a new dual V-Mount plate which can support two attached IDX V-mount batteries to double the battery capacity and runtime available for cameras and on-board accessories. The new plate has a universal V-Mount for secure connection to a wide variety of professional broadcast cameras and equipment and is compatible with all IDX ENDURA System Lithium Ion batteries. A-E241E users have the advantage of being able to "hot-swap" batteries as they become low on capacity, replacing them with fully charged models without turning the camera off. The lower battery channel supports IDX's Digi-View feature which shows remaining battery capacity data in percentage steps via the viewfinder.
The A-E241E is primarily designed to provide longer lasting battery power for high powered ENG and cinematic cameras. It is especially suited for use with the 136Wh ENDURA ELITE battery which can output 272Wh of runtime. For those who frequently travel with camera and battery equipment by air, the ELITE eliminates concerns over air transportation with dual power cartridges that can be easily disengaged for travel and are fully compliant with domestic and internal IATA regulations. |
