Christie, global leader in the manufacture of visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, has announced that Audio Visual Materials (AVM) will distribute an expanded Christie portfolio, to include Christie’s LCD projector range.
AVM has marketed Christie’s single and three chip projection solutions to the AV reseller channel in the UK with great success since January 2008. The expansion of the offering to include Christie’s fixed installation product is an organic progression of a successful and dovetailed working relationship between the two companies.
Joe Graziano, UK channel sales manager, explains, “AVM has had success with the previous offering and has proved itself a company easy to work with, technically knowledgeable and simple to do business with. They were a natural choice to take on the LCD projection line as AVM maintains the integrity of the Christie partner relationship within their own channel.”

Clear-Com® Communication Systems, a Vitec Group brand, today announces the launch of an enhanced version of the company’s Clear-Com Concert™ intercom software, which now offers new external audio interfacing capabilities. With this new connectivity option, Concert can easily interface with external audio systems, including partyline systems, paging systems, program feeds and other matrix systems using a four-wire interface over a standard IP network, providing a seamless communications network. Clear-Com will exhibit the enhanced Concert for the first time at NAB 2010 (Booth C6025).
In most television productions, communications among key production crew members typically take place over closed-circuit two-wire and/or four-wire intercom systems, restricting other users from joining the intercom loop. Concert, a cost-effective and flexible Intercom-over-IP solution, allows authorized users with Internet access to easily communicate with other crew members using hard-wired panels and wireless beltpacks on the partyline and/or matrix intercom circuit who are using hard-wired panels and wireless beltpacks. In addition, Concert can now accept and send audio through a facility’s public announcement system, program feed, and other 4-wire audio devices via most commercially available audio interface boxes.

Custom Consoles announces the completion of a large order for Presteigne Charter, one of the world's leading broadcast dry hire and systems rental specialists. A total of 20 desks from the Module-R range have been delivered for use across two major sports events: the Australian Tennis Open and the Vancouver Winter Games. "We normally preconfigure Module-R systems at CAD level prior to delivery," comments Gary Fuller, Custom Consoles' Sales Manager. "As an experienced client, Presteigne Charter designed their own module combinations to match the specific requirements of the two events. The modules supplied include 16 three-bay desk units, five two-bay units and one single-bay unit.
