Sony, Canon, etc. HDCAM and Digi Beta crewing and post services in Asia - India.

We provide the widest range of facilities available in South Asia.

Years back, we started using the first High Definition cameras in north India, with our Sony HDW F900 HDCAM's. We now have a range of Canon Hi Def lenses (HJ21, HJ11's and the longest portable lens in the world - the HJ40 X 14), a pair of HDW 730S, a HDCAM Sony HDW M2000 recorder, a HD post-production solution, and the ability to create an entire feature film on HD, from concept to master... More recently, we're also pushing HDV as a low-cost HD option.

Apart from Hi Def, we have over a dozen Digi Beta cameras, including new DVW 790WSP's and VTR's for the following formats - Beta SX PAL & NTSC, Digi Beta NTSC & PAL, Beta SP PAL & NTSC, Betacam PAL & NTSC, DVC Pro 50 and IMX PAL and NTSC.

We're in the process of currently setting up India's first factual programming channel, a sort of South Asian answer to Discovery or NGC. We are also developing a global stock footage and stills sales portal, along the lines of Corbis or Getty, utilizing our 750, 000 stills and broadcast archive of 3500 hours, which together make us the largest stock footage resource in the world, on South Asia.

A more detailed profile is attached below. And do have a look at our website...

FOR-A  will introduce Prism System — on-the-fly, multiple-output video clipping software — at the 2010 NAB Show in Las Vegas, Nev., April 12-15 (Booth C5219). With its built-in encoder, clipping, and trans-coding tools, Prism provides a complete video content repurposing solution for Web and mobile TV distribution.

Prism will allow broadcasters to increase their station content revenues, while keeping the production costs low,” said Hiro Tanoue, president, FOR-A Corporation of America. “Our revolutionary Prism System software processes on the fly while recording video. ERTT ADOPTS FOR-A VIRTUAL STUDIO

Posted: 25/02/2010
FOR-A UK has supplied its digiStorm virtual studio technology and multiviewers to Thomson for installation at the Tunisian national broadcaster, ERTT in Tunis. As a part of a turnkey project by Thomson Grass Valley France SA, the virtual studio has been integrated with a Thomson vision mixer and Shotoku camera position sensors.

This digiStorm virtual studio system was configured to meet ERTT’s requirements that included working with the studio’s four cameras, and their associated motion sensors, using a dual-channel virtual set processor and two workstations to provide both programme and preview video of the virtual set for any two of the four cameras at one time. The two workstations run Brainstorm Multimedia’s eStudio 3D Graphics software, making a full ‘eStudio': one creation-and-play workstation and one play-only station. Other major system elements supplied by FOR-A that complete the system comprise a VRP-70HS virtual studio processor complete with chroma keyer, a DSC-100 data router and a tally interface.
